​The Art Department in Film is a lecture series designed by Carlos Menendez for Dominican architects, Interior designers, graphic designers, and advertising agency personnel interested in gaining practical knowledge to the workings of a US art department on feature-length films and commercials. Drawing on twenty-three years in the film business, Carlos uses sketches, completed construction drawings, photographs, storyboards, budgets and film clips to immerse the participants in the essential facts necessary to learn how films are executed frame by frame.
